[Canada] French Canada - Ottawa(1-3, Apr , 2007)

Ottawa is...

the capital of Canada.

All thought that Vancouver or Toronto is the Capital of Canada, but...

unexpectedly, Ottawa is the Capital of Canada. As it shows such as "unexpectedly things"...

the city is also so small.. -0- Actually, this area is not in French Canada... but, I misunderstood that this is in Canada, so just Let's think that Ottawa is in French Canada only this time... -0-

The first time in Ottawa was that the weather was uncomfortable, then later,

it began to rain... -0- shit, so the weather was not so good, and the picture was also so, so.. -0-

The main point in Ottawa is...

Parliament;;;

as this is the capital, the Parliament.. is.. really...

magnificent......and... shock....(in my case)

if sightseeing only this, maybe, it's enough to look around Ottawa. I mean,

There is nothing there except Parliament.. -0-

I recommand more...

the first one is, Canada Aviation Museum!

Of course, I couldn't see the newest fighters, but i could see lots of aircrafts, and fighters....

so, it's the place where man and boy would like to see....-0-

so, i just visited there recklessly...i think it's not so popular....

most visited there by their cars, I only visited there by bus I think... -0-

I felt weird when I took the bus alone... -0-

The problem is.. it's so far away from downtown, so you should check it out how to get there if you wanna to there... if sth wrong, it's easy to get lost... -0-

The other one is..., right, church... ....Notre Dame Cathedral

Here is also, really, really, great, and one of great church...

while walking on the street, it's good place to take a rest for a while, but don't chat with friends

Ah! One more recommendation is, Canal Rideau..but, this time was not so good day.. so i just took a picture a little.. -0-

and one more,

if you look for good accommodation, How about Ottawa International Youth Hostel..

In the past, it used to be Prison.. but now it was remodeled, so it's the attractive place where has unique atmosphere...

in ther references, the girls who was receptionists, are gorgeous(not only one, it's two!!) -0- ha~~ nice~ ( ㅡ_-)///

if the weather would have being great, I wanna take more nice picture, but it didn't allow me.. shit!

so, I recommend you to travel in the nice weather.... -0-

p.s this trip is, actually, not so fun... I think it's half-right as when I thought before I begin to travel..
But, actually, it depends on a person, however, in my case, it's not suitable for me that tavelling alone.. but just...

I thought a lot while Im travelling, it's a chance to review my private problem.. and also...
I got more confidence, of course, I think...

오타와는...

캐나다의 수도이다.

다들, 토론토나 밴쿠버가 캐나다의 수도일까라는 생각을 하지만...

의외로 오타와가 캐나다의 수도이다. 그런 의외성을 잘 보여주는 듯...

도시 역시, 무척 작다... -0- 솔직히 이 지역은 French Canada 지역은 아니지만, 그래도 내가 French Canada라고 착각하는 바람에..그냥...오늘만 French Canada 로 치자... -0-

내가 간 첫날은 날씨가, 좀 꾸부정했는데, 이후,

비가 내리기 시작했다... -0- 이눔의 비... -0-그래서 무척 날씨가 안좋았고..사진도..고만 고만.. -0-

이곳에 메인 관광 포인트는 바로...

국회의사당;;;;

수도인 만큼, 국회의사당이..정말...

으리으리 하다....못해....뻑간다....

이것만 구경해도, 아마, 오타와는 다 구경한게 아닐까... 그말인 즉슨,

국회의사당 외에는 볼게 없더라...-0-

그외에도 두곳을 더 추천하자면...

국립 항공 박물관!

물론, 최신 전투기들을 볼수는 없지만, 그래도, 많은 항공기와 전투기들을 구경할수 있는...

남자와 어린아이라면 좋아할... -0- 장소...

그래서, 무작정 찾아간 곳이지만... 그다지 인기 있는 곳은 아닌듯....

대부분, 자가용으로 박물관을 찾았으며, 버스를 이용하여 온 사람은 나밖에 없었던 듯... -0-

나 혼자 버스타고 갔던 그 기분이란..참... -0-

문제는, 중심가에서 상당히 떨어져 있는 곳이니, 잘 찾아가야 한다는 것.. 잘못하면..길 잃어버리기 딱 좋다... -0-

다음 추천은, 역시나 성당....Notre Dame Cathedral

여기도 정말, 입이 딱 벌어지던, 멋진 성당중 하나로..

가다가 지친 발길을 쉬어 가기 딱 좋은 곳... 그러나 잡담은 금물....

아! 하나 더 굳이 추천하자면, 리도 운하인데...뭐.. 이날은 그리 좋은 날이 아니라, 그냥 간단히 사진 몇장만 찍었다는.. -0-

그리고 또하나,

좋은 숙소를 찾고 있다면, 이곳, 오타와 국제 유스호스텔이 어떠신지.

과거 감옥을 사용하던 곳을 개조한 곳이라 독특한 분위기가 매력적인 곳...

참고로, 카운터를 보는 아가씨들도(한명도 아닌 두명!), 무척 이쁘셨다는... -0- 너무 조아~ ( ㅡ_-)///

날씨가 좋았다면, 더 멋진 사진을 찍고 싶었지만....날씨가 허락하지 않은 상태라..쿨럭...

여행은 꼭, 맑은 날씨에 갈것을 권장하는 바이.....다..-0-

p.s 이번 여행은 솔직히, 그렇게 재미있던 여행은 아니었다. 역시나, 여행 떠나기전 했던 생각이 반쯤 맞았던 것 같다.
하지만, 그것도 사람마다 틀릴뿐, 다만, 나에겐 혼자서 하는 여행은 맞지가 않은것 같다.
다만....

이번 여행으로 많은 생각을 했고, 내 개인적인 문제를 돌아볼수 있는 계기가 되었으며...또한...
물론, 자신감을 좀더 얻은 그런 여행이 아니었나 싶다.....

[Canada] French Canada - Montreal(30-31, Mar / 1, Apr , 2007)

Last ciy, Quebec can be the mental centre of French Canada.....

this city, Montreal can be the real centre of French Canada that it was suitable for this city.

Most basements of Canadian Company locate in Montreal, so, it's one of the dynamic city.

There are also a lot of churches which is awesome in Montreal, especially, L'Oratoire St-Joseph, Notre Dame Basilica, they have sth to make tourist solemnly.

In my case, I prefer Montreal of my visited cities, because, it's dynamic, and especially, I think the past and present stay together, so that's why I prefer Montreal.

Quebec city separates between Old Town and New Town. It might be good, but also bad that I think.

However, they coexist in Montreal.

The looks that medieval buildings and churches which had built one by one in the forest of highrise, is in harmony mysteriously, so they show beautiful scenery.

I think this made me prefer Montreal.

It's real center of French Canada, so this area where uses French over 70% that,

I recommand that lots of medieval buildings and near a pier in Old Montreal, and L'Oratoire St-Joseph where is a little far away from downtown.

In my case, I don't have enough time, and money, I just looked around here quickly as possible as I could, but I think there are a lot of things to see in Montreal.

International Youth Hostel which I stayed was not bad. It looked a little shabby, and inside, there is a small bar which has good atmosphere, and price of food is not so expensive(about 10 dollar) and plentiful, so it's easy to have a meal.

Travel period is, if it's not my case....

I think it's better.....-0-

[Canada] French Canada - Montreal(30-31, Mar / 1, Apr , 2007)

지난번 도시, Quebec City 가 French Canada 의 정신적 중심지라면....

이번 도시, Montreal 은 French Canada 의 실질적인 중심지라는 표현이 딱 알맞는 도시이다.

대부분의 Canadian 회사의 본사가 이곳에 위치해있으며, 그러한 것들을 바탕으로, 아주 활기 넘치는 도시중에 하나인 셈이다.

여전히, 보기만 해도 까무러치는 성당들이 여전히 많았으며, 특히나, 성요셉성당과, 노트르담 대성당은 정말, 보는 이로 하여금 숙연케 만드는 무언가가 있는 듯 하다.

개인적으로는 이번 방문 도시중, 몬트리올을 가장 좋아하는데, 아무래도, 활기차보이는 도시와 함께, 무엇보다, 과거와 현대가 공존하는 모습이 좋아서가 아닐까 싶다.

Quebec City는 올드 타운과, 뉴 타운이 분리되어 있는 모습을 보여준다. 어떻게 보면, 좋을수도 있고, 어떻게 보면, 나쁠수도 있는 부분이라고 생각이 든다.

하지만, Montreal은 같이 공존하는 모습을 보여주고 있다.

높은 빌딩 숲사이로, 하나 둘씩 들어서 있는 유럽 중세풍의 건물들과 교회의 모습은, 묘하게도 그 조화가 잘 어울려, 아름다운 모습을 연출하는 듯 하다.

그러한 점이 몬트리올을 더 맘에 들게 만들지 않았나 생각이 든다.

French Canada 의 실질적인 중심지 답게, 불어가 70% 이상을 차지 하는 이 지역에서는

구 몬트리올 부근에 있는 수많은 중세풍에 건물과, 근처, 부두가, 그리고, 약간 외곽에 떨어져 있는 성 요셉성당등이 꼭 추천하는 장소.

본인 같은 경우, 시간과 돈이 없는 관계로, 아주 속성으로, 재빨리 둘어보았지만, 이 외에도, 몬트리올은 둘러볼데가 참 많은 도시가 아닌가 싶다.

내가 머물렀던 국제 유스호스텔도 썩 나쁘진 않다. 약간 좀 허름해 보이는 겉과는 달리, 안에는 분위기 좋은 작은 바가 있으며, 음식 역시 가격이 저렴(그래봤자 10달러정도)하고 양도 푸짐해, 쉽게 끼니를 떼울수 있는 곳이다.

여행시기는, 내가 여행했던 시기만 아니라면....

좋지 않을까... -0-

[Canada] French Canada - Quebec(28-30, Mar, 2007)

It's the Travel that I worried about travel a lot.

It's the Travel that I excited a little more than I worried about tavelling alone.

and...

It's the Travel that I expected that I could realize sth from this travel...

Quebec Province is the main area of French Canada(Canadian Area where the official language is French). And Quebec City where is the capital of Quebec Province is the place where fill the pride of French Canadian.

However, it's not bigger than its fame. but, It's the city that I felt that I could't explain my feeling from this city.

It's the city where keeps the past. While I walk around the city, it seems like that they fight against British again like its past. And I feel the holy of GOD, because of a lot of churches there. It's the place where they stay together which called Quebec.

But, tourist can look around here in a day, because of a cluster of tourist spot, so it's the good point and bad point for tourist. In my case, i felt bored a little bit, so I don't like it so much.

The period when I travelled was the end of March, so I felt cold around city, and it's the city where stared at strange tourist a lot.

However, as you can tell from these picture, it's the city where makes people want to go to church, and if tourist stay for a day, they can feel beautiful from the street. Chateau Frontenac where is symbol of the city is impressive. And Notre Dame basiliques(there are a lot of basiliques where the name is Notre Dame), and castle walls, La Citadelle are also impressive so a lot.

I felt a little uncomfortable, because most people speak French, but some clerks of shops can speak English, i didn't feel uncomfortable for shopping. But, the clerks of small shop speak only French, so It's possible to feel uncomfortable from buying a few groceries.

One of bad point is, here, there are no big markets like Safeway, Walmart or Save on Food. There is one big grocery where is a little bit far away from Old Town that it takes for 20-30 minutes on foot, but it's hard to get there, and hard to find it.;;;;

Ah, one more, if you want to look aound Old Town, walking is more convenience than driving, because the street is so narrow, and the road also is uphill and downhill. I think that walking is more easy to feel the mood of the street than driving...

But, don't travel in March or April....

여행에 대해서 많은 고민을 하고 떠난 여행.

혼자서 한다는 생각에 부담과 걱정이 많이 앞섰지만, 그보다는 약간의 흥분이 나를 더 감싼 그런 여행;;;;

그리고....

이번 여행으로 무언가를 알아낼수 있지 않을까를 내심 기대했던 여행.....

퀘벡주는 프렌치 캐나다(불어를 모국어로 사용하는 캐나다지역)의 중심지역이다. 그중 주도인 퀘벡시티는 프렌치 캐내디언들의 자긍심이 서려있는 곳이기도 하다.

하지만, 명성에 비해 그렇게 크지 않은 도시이다. 하지만, 말로는 표현할수 없는 느낌을 지닌 도시이기도 하다.

과거를 고스란히 보존하고 있는 도시로, 도시를 거닐다 보면, 꼭 그들이 과거에 치루었던 영국과의 전쟁을 다시 할 것만 같은 느낌이 들기도 하고, 교회들이 많아 신의 성스러움을 느낄수도 있으며, 그러한 것이 어우러져 있는 곳이 바로 이곳, 퀘벡이라 할수 있다.

하지만, 역시 관광지가 옹기종기 모여 있어서 하루면 다 볼수가 있다는 점은, 여행자들에게는 장점이자, 단점으로 다가온다. 개인적으로는 약간의 식상함을 느낄수 있는 지라, 그렇게 맘에 들었던 도시는 아니다.

내가 여행했던 시기는 비성수기였던 3월 말로서, 썰렁한 느낌이 많이 들었으며, 또한, 이상한 여행자를 보는 시선으로 가득찼던 도시이기도 했다.

하지만 위 사진에서도 보듯이, 정말 교회 다닐 맛 나게 만드는 성당이 너무 많은 도시이며, 거리 역시, 하루만 머물거라면, 아름다움을 느낄수 있는 도시이다. 도시의 상징이라 할수 있는 호텔 Chateau Frontenac 이 상당히 인상적이었으며, 그외에 노트르담 성당들, 성벽, 요새 La Citadelle 등이 상당히 인상적이었던 도시다.

대부분의 사람들이 불어를 사용하기에, 답답하지만, 상점등의 점원등은 대부분, 영어도 사용이 가능해서, 쇼핑하는데에 불편은 없다. 하지만, 조그마한 구멍가게같은 경우엔, 불어를 사용하기에, 간단한 식료품을 사려면, 애를 먹을지도....

한가지 안좋은 점은, 이곳에, Safeway니, Walmart니, Save on Food니 하는 곳이 없다는 점. 올드 타운에서 20-30분 걸으면 닿는 곳에, 그나마 큰 규모의 식료품점이 있으나, 찾아가기가 번거로우며, 찾기도 빡세다.;;;;;

참, 한가지 더, 올드타운을 구경하려면, 차보다는 걷는 것이 훨씬 편하다. 길도 좁고, 오르막, 내리막길에 연속이라, 차로 돌아다니기 보다는 걸으면서, 천천히 거리의 분위기를 느끼는 것도 좋지 않을까, 싶다....

단, 3, 4월은 여행가지 말지어라......

Im back;;;;

Quebec -> Montreal -> Ottawa

Youth Hostels of these places were so great than I expect,

After I study of taking a picture or if I have a partner, I hope I go there in the summer time....

-0- It won't happen I think...

I just looked around the cities where had nothing...but....

I realized again from this travel that I have not enough things in my mind...

anyway, review about travel is after going back to korea.....

Travel...

It's hard to travel. How many things interrupt to let me travel. It's so hard to travel.

Money is important, so I understand my friend don't travel.

I agree with them about 100%!!! And I also hesitated to go for trip.

When I go to somewhere alone, I decide my purpose to go.

If I have no purpose, I don't try or go and look over there a little, and just come back.

Im not that kind of person who find interesting things by myself,

that's why I tried to trave with friends.

If I go alone, I can imagine what I will do easily.

Just walk and down, and spend my time without doing anything.

that's why i hesitated to go.

and suddenly, I wondered why I want to travel.

why do the people want to travel? hanging out with friends?

to hang out with friends in the pub is funnier.

to relax? there is a word what if you leave from home, it's distress, so why?

it could be distress, and i would say that it's experience instead of distress,

and it may be the reason to travel.

Ancestor said that we should have a hard time even buying for it.

Of course, money is important, but there is a human above money, not money above human.

anyway, we have only one life, we have a right to enjoy while travelling and having a hard time.

Don't give up our right, because of money.

to regret after trying is better than to regret without trying.

Let's go!!! to french canada....
